The French government is attempting to ban tattooing beginning December 31, 2013. We cannot allow this to happen. This is a very important moment in time where we must come together as a community and express the injustice of such a decision.
I ask you to help me in taking a stand by following this link and signing the petition. Thank you.

"The greatest art murder in history." - MERES ONE
As many slept through their Monday night, the legendary graffiti landmark, 5 Pointz was poorly whitewashed. Many people out in Long Island woke up to see that the hall of fame had been erased, leaving the once iconic piece of the city in a state of complete misery. It was stripped of its glory in preparation for a pair of luxury high-rise buildings.
A place that once brought together people from all points of the world in celebration of one art movement is now a place to mourn the biggest scar on graffiti.
Rest in pieces 5 Pointz.
Today I just finished this tribute to my friend Nekst in Detroit. Pose suggested this photo that KC Ortiz took as the basis for the work and I also incorporated his tag into the background. This is almost entirely painted in chrome, black and red Rustoleum bucket paint that Nekst left behind in Revok’s studio. The first time I really got to know Nekst he had me loading so many buckets of this paint into the trunk of a rental car we drive from Chicago to Detroit. I don’t now if these were some of the same buckets left over from then or not. Revok had the idea to do it this way and I think it was an incredible idea. I had a lot of help from heaps of people to make this happen, Revok, my partner Livi, who did a lot of filling this in with a little brush, Jesse and the 1XRun team who helped me find the wall and get a lift and also Miss Maddy and Deshawn who are from the business inside. They understood 100% the importance of this wall and trusted me to do it in a way as true to Nekst as I could.

Interview by Bryan Deese.
In 2002 (while attending UT Knoxville) I did a magazine called Freights for an independent class study. I never published it because of funding. I will post a digital version at some point.
This interview with Next/Nekst doesn’t appear in Freights though. He was…
